Accounting Manager

Location: Greater Salt Lake City, Utah

Lucid is seeking a dynamic Accounting Manager to join our accounting team. We have optimized many of our accounting processes and systems but we still have a lot of work to do! Now is a great time to join us as we scale to keep up with the company’s rapid growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP
  • Key contributor to the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Manage monthly revenue recognition process
  • Perform all intercompany accounting, including transfer pricing and reconciliation of intercompany loan
  • Calculate and reconcile deferred rent
  • Reconcile the more complex accounts and review reconciliations prepared by other accounting staff
  • Manage fixed assets, including capitalization and depreciation
  • Participate in Blackline implementation
  • Prepare and review journal entries
  • Assist Director of Technical Accounting in fulfilling requests from external auditors (Ernst & Young)
  • Become subject-matter-expert of Netsuite
  • Identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
  • Prepare and reconcile VAT filings for US and Netherlands entities
  • Prepare and reconcile GST filings for Australian entity
  • Assist in submission of bill payments
  • Year-end activities
  • Collaborate with AP, AR and Payroll to ensure completeness for month-end close and cost accounting
  • Special projects, as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting experience 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Expert-level knowledge of assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses
  • Familiarity with Netsuite or other enterprise level accounting system
  • Passion for working with emerging technologies with an ability to understand new technical concepts
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter with zeal for taking ownership
  • Strategic thinker who operates with extreme attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, with little direction
  • Out-of-the box thinker
  • Motivation for excellence and exceeding expectations
  • Passionate about teamwork with an optimistic outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, start-up-type environment
  • Bias towards finding solutions vs. shutting down ideas
  • Ability to drive change

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA
  • Master’s degree
  • Public accounting experience, especially Big 4
  • Blackline experience
  • International accounting experience
  • Prior accounting roles at other SaaS companies
