Director of FP&A

Location: Greater Salt Lake City, Utah

Lucid has an exciting opportunity for an experienced FP&A Director to join the Finance team. This position will lead FP&A at Lucid, reporting to the CFO, and will be responsible for all financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and decision-support for the executive team. In this role, you will manage a team of analysts. Critically, you will partner across the company with each executive and coordinate deeply on strategic projects with related functions such as Business Operations, Sales Operations, and Analytics. Of course, you will work closely with our Corporate Controller and her team.
You will also be responsible for building on top of our solid FP&A foundation to align with best practices. The key candidate will be an exceptional business partner, an experienced people manager, have well-established financial modeling skills, a firm understanding of finance and accounting concepts, superb analytical abilities, and a demonstrated understanding of financial systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Business partner for all executives
  • Forecasting in support of various leaders and departments across the company
  • Oversee and/or conduct all financial analysis that is necessary to drive growth and operational efficiencies including; month end processing, planning process review and variance analysis, and trend analysis
  • Analysis and tracking of strategic initiatives and key company metrics, including development of supporting models and expected outcomes
  • Communicate financial and accounting information and trends to the management team to ensure that real-time business decisions can be made based on sound financial data
  • Support preparation of materials and messaging for investors and the board
  • Partner with accounting 
  • Ad-hoc analysis as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required 
  • 10+ years experience in finance roles, ideally in growth companies
  • Strong business partnering skills and holistic view of business strategy, processes, and financial objectives
  • People management experience, especially in building and growing an FP&A team
  • High comfort level with ERP and Planning systems, preferably Netsuite and Adaptive Insights
  • Expert in Excel
  • SaaS experience highly desirable
  • Experience supporting capital raising and corporate development a plus
  • Exposure to investor relations a plus
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate and deal effectively with all levels of an organization
