Product Education Lead

This mission critical role is part of Lucidchart’s Customer Success program, which plays a central role at Lucid Software, ensuring that our customers are able to maximize the value they obtain through adoption of our products. In this role, you will lead the effort to drive Lucidchart adoption through development and delivery of impactful product and domain education offerings. Innovation and passion will be the keys to success in this role.

Successful candidates will be entrepreneurial problem-solvers with strong organization andinstructional design skills. The capacity and drive to develop a deep understanding of complexbusiness communication and documentation challenges, technical products, product storytelling, and diverse user personas will also be crucial to success in the role.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision for, lead and execute on the design and development of the Lucidchart Product Education program, including
  • Customer-focused initiatives including a customer product certification program, learning resource center, onsite training, webinars, video tutorials and other on-demand resources, and instructor-led workshops
  • Internally-focused initiatives including an employee product certification program, job aids, and instructor-led training sessions
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Lucid’s marketing, sales, support, and product departments and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy in existing product education resources, and to align product education efforts with the product roadmap
  • Work collaboratively to design internal instructional materials and activities that support new hire and existing employee learning and performance as it relates to Lucidchart’s product
  • Oversee the work of a small team of Product Education Specialists
  • Help develop the Customer Success team’s ability to execute on effective live trainings and webinars
  • Utilize and develop reports to track progress and results of training initiatives, and communicate findings to management
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Lucidchart products and business diagramming, both internally and externally
  • Document and convey product feedback to Product Management team

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in an instructional design, teaching, or training capacity
  • Ability to quickly master Lucidchart (and other technical products), effectively present information and answer technically complex questions in terms that can be easily comprehended
  • Experience prioritizing and completing tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance (3.5+ GPA)
  • Familiarity with technical subject matter (e.g., software engineering, database management), or strong technical aptitude and passion to become a subject matter expert on Lucidchart and related domains
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create and deliver technical presentations that explain complex subjects to non-technical end users
  • Outstanding task management skills across a varied set of responsibilities in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Strong organization and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years’ experience in a people or project management role
  • Formal training in instructional design, teaching, etc.
  • Strong familiarity with technical roles including devops, network architecture, infrastructure, information systems, database management, or other technical field
