General Manager, Lucid for Education

At Lucid, we are creating the essential visual productivity platform that helps anyone understand and share ideas, information, and processes with clarity. With more than 3 million registered users, our Education business is expanding rapidly across both Lucidchart and Lucidpress.  We are seeking a passionate General Manager to lead our efforts introducing our visual productivity platform to many millions more of educators and students worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the long-term strategy roadmap for Education at Lucid
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to increase adoption, engagement, and monetization of Lucid software by Education users
  • Partner with the Head of Education Sales to synthesize customer and marketplace feedback into targeted product and marketing activities; project manage all product and marketing activities in support of revenue generation
  • Lead analysis and execution of important strategic choices that determine where and how we customize product features and marketing efforts for Lucid’s Education users
  • Engage in regular outreach with Lucid’s existing and prospective Education users, including representing Lucid at key education conferences

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working in education and/or edtech with extensive exposure to the use of technology in the classroom
  • Working knowledge of academic technology platforms, in particular learning management systems such as G Suite for Education, Canvas, Blackboard, and Schoology
  • Empathy for education users, and ability to translate their unique needs into an actionable product vision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, and attention to detail
  • Outstanding project management skills across a varied set of responsibilities in a fast paced, high-volume environment
  • Excellent influencing skills and a proven collaborator; ability to work successfully with a diversity of teams across the organization
  • Demonstrated independence and autonomy in a high performing work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior teaching experience a plus
  • Prior experience working cross-functionally a plus
