Learning & Development Specialist

Location: Greater Salt Lake City, Utah

In partnership with the Learning and Development Manager, the main responsibilities of this role include assessing the learning and development needs of the organization, designing, creating, and curating relevant training materials, facilitating small and large group trainings, promoting ongoing learning opportunities, effectively curating and managing learning content, and performing other administrative tasks as needed to facilitate learning at Lucid.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, curate, and implement training materials for in-classroom and online learning opportunities for Lucid employees, working closely with leadership and subject matter experts
  • Manage and update training content for all learning and development initiatives - including presentations, pre-work, guided exercises, and interactive content
  • Manage the administration of Bridge, our LMS platform (new user set-up, content management, employee support and maintenance)
  • Design and manage internal communication campaigns to promote awareness and attendance of various L&D offerings
  • Administer and support the management of L&D programs that run concurrently each quarter (calendaring, communications, pre-work, survey management, facilitator support)
  • Administer and facilitate ongoing trainings for both small and large groups
  • Assist in analyzing current and future development needs of the organization, including skill gaps, career planning, management training, etc.
  • Assist with the development and execution of strategic plans for learning across the organization
  • Act as an internal learning consultant for department heads and other leaders
  • Work on special projects as needed to support the People Operations team

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in learning and development, training, employee development, program management, or project management
  • Exceptional organizational and content management skills
  • Strong understanding of instructional design, learning, and general design best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - exceptional facilitation and presentation skills a must!

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Experience Design and Management, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Organizational Behavior, or related field 
  • Experience in Google Suite, Articulate, and other content creation tools
  • Experience in Bridge or other LMS products
  • Experience working with survey data and data reporting projects
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and positive
  • Experience using Lucidchart and Lucidpress
