Manager, SMB Sales, Lucidchart, EMEA

Location: Amsterdam

The Manager of Small & Mid-sized Business (SMB) Sales, EMEA, will be responsible for leading a team of SMB Account Executives (AEs) in driving strategic business growth for net new and existing customers across the EMEA region.  In this role, the Manager of SMB Sales, EMEA, works with the Director of Sales, EMEA, to develop key strategies for EMEA territories and segments in order to optimize business revenue and long-term growth for all Lucidchart customers.  In addition to guiding sales representatives in identifying target markets and verticals, conducting prospecting efforts, and ensuring the retention and growth of existing customers, the Manager of SMB Sales, EMEA, will be in charge of hiring, coaching, mentoring, motivating, and training all SMB AEs to prepare them for continual career progression.

  • Coach, mentor, and motivate a dynamic, growing team of SMB AEs towards key business targets
  • Manage and optimize team productivity and efficiency to ensure on-pace monthly, quarterly and annual goal attainment
  • Provide reliable forecasts to Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success management on pipeline activity, generation, and progression
  • Maintain expert knowledge on the features, benefits and application of Lucidchart’s offering and communicate key information and changes to all SMB AEs
  • Understand the competitive landscape within the EMEA region and develop account growth and retention strategies to creatively penetrate into new markets, verticals, and personas
  • Translate sales best practices and methodology to meaningful activities that adapt to the needs of territories and markets within the EMEA region
  • Retain and inculcate a hunter mentality in sales representatives in order to create new opportunities across net new and existing customers
  • Train sales representatives on effective rep-to-customer interactions that develop and solidify relationships with existing Lucidchart clients, key stakeholders, and prospects
  • Drive sales funnel management in a timely and strategic manner in accordance with internal sales, marketing and customer success service level agreements
  • Coach sales representatives on how to lead potential clients to an understanding of the options or solutions that are applicable to their situation, demonstrating how features and benefits match their needs
  • Provide direct feedback to sales representatives in areas of sales/personal development, direction, and focus in 1:1 and quarterly business review sessions
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and growing the EMEA sales organization
  • Ensure the team abides to systematic sales processes, rules of engagement, and service level agreements currently established at Lucidchart B.V. and seek opportunities to optimize current developmental workflows 

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of sales management experience
  • Experience as an expert coach and leader
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience with CRM reporting, Tableau, Outreach and other sales software solutions
  • Fluent in English
  • Must be able to work in the EMEA HQ in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to find, manage and close high-level business in an evangelist sales environment
  • Strong technical background
  • Detailed knowledge and passion for SaaS applications
  • Leading potential clients to an understanding of the options or solutions that are applicable to their situation, demonstrating how features and benefits match their needs
